ALPS Prosthetic Ointment with Vitamins A & D - 4 oz Tube
ALPS Prosthetic Ointment is a vitamin A and D formulation that soothes and protects the skin. It may be applied nightly after the prosthesis has been removed, or during the day to the residual limb under a silicone liner. In order to reduce shear forces ointment can be applied at the proximal (top) edge of the liner, fibular heads, patella (knee cap) or condyles (round ends of bones that interlock in joints) if necessary. It is available in a 4 oz. (118 mL) tube.
Recommended for use with:
- Silicone Liners, including the ALPS CLEARPRO Liner
- Urethane Liners
Not recommended for use with:
- Gel Liners (thermoplastic), which includes all ALPS Gel Liners
- This ointment may deteriorate gel materials over time
- Formulated with Vitamins A & D
- Protects and soothes skin
- Capable of reducing shear forces at the proximal edge of the liner, fibular heads, patella, and condyles
